Before & Aftercare

Montessori Classroom

In order to meet the needs of busy families and parents, South Suburban Montessori School offers before-and after-school care for children aged three and up. Before-school care begins at 7:30 am and lasts until 8:30am at which time the children are escorted to their respective classrooms. After-school care is available from 3:15pm dismissal until 6:00 pm for children six to fourteen years old. During aftercare, students participate in activities such as snack preparation, cooking, crafts, indoor games, and playground time.  Older students may also choose to use aftercare as a time to complete homework assignments.  Students enrolled in aftercare can also combine this experience with other after-school enrichment programs, such as Tae Kwon Do, theatre and cooking club that are available for all Children’s House, Elementary and Middle School students.

Three to six year old children who need to remain at school for extended hours are enrolled in our All Day Children’s House environment and can remain at SSMS until either 3:15pm or 6:00pm.
