South Suburban Montessori School Scholarship Awards are offered to new applicants entering 4th through 7th grade. These awards are granted based on academic potential as well as strength of personal characteristics, including a strong sense of independence and a love of learning.
Students who are eligible for the Scholarship Award will demonstrate:
- High academic potential
- Strong character
- Outstanding citizenship
- Involvement in meaningful activities outside the classroom
All Scholarships are awarded for the duration of a student’s enrollment at SSMS. A student must remain in good standing in the school community.
Recipients of the award are welcome to apply for additional need-based tuition assistance through South Suburban’s Indexed Tuition Program, since they are independent of each other.
Scholarship Application Process
- Submit a short essay
- Complete admission testing
- Provide current school student records for the past two (2) school years
- Provide a character recommendation letter from a non-relative, preferably from your child’s current school
Scholarship winners will be determined by the Scholarship Committee and will be announced within 14 days of an applicant’s completion of the Scholarship Application Process.
